His first two years of university were spent at the Université de Moncton, where he studied French Immersion and Business and played varsity hockey. Hollis then transferred to the University of New Brunswick where he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology. He then spent the next 4 years working for the Bathurst-Campbellton 2003 Canada Winter Games. Hollis returned to school at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and completed a Bachelor’s in Education. Following his degree he taught school in Bathurst for 10 years before migrating to the Financial Planning industry in September 2014. Hollis has also been a consultant, for the past 12 years, for CMG Sports (now Stealth) hockey player’s agency. Over the past 20 years Hollis has been very active in the region as a volunteer. He has been involved with Hockey New Brunswick and Soccer New Brunswick holding regional positions for both associations. He was president of the 2002 Air Canada Cup and presided over many more provincial championships in the region. Working hard for and giving back to the community is a way of life for Hollis and his Family! Hollis is currently working with Ed MacDermaid as his licensed assistant while continuing to pursue his Certified Financial Planner designation. Hollis and his wife Linda live in Petit-Rocher with their 2 daughters Elissa and Jolyane. Elissa currently attends the University of Mobile in Alabama on a soccer scholarship, studying Business, Jolyane is studying Science at the Université Ste-Anne in Nova-Scotia, where she is enjoying a volleyball scholarship. In his spare time Hollis continues to enjoy playing hockey, walking and travelling.
